SCOOPSCOOP

The Solway College Organisation of Parents (SCOOP) is a group that aims to raise funds for items and activities that will benefit the college and its students.

The money raised from fundraising activities goes towards purchasing items from a ‘wish list’ of ideas provided by students and teachers. The funds from past activities have gone towards items such as purchasing projectors for use in classrooms and gazebos to provide shade and shelter at outdoor school events.

New fundraiser – Ferguson tartan scarves and rugs

SCOOP has commissioned some beautiful alpaca scarves ($45) and mohair throws ($199) in the college Ferguson tartan to sell as a fundraiser. You can order these by emailing scoop@solwaycollege.school.nz. There are samples in the office reception area that you can check out before ordering. Great for keeping warm and cosying up dorm rooms in the colder months, the scarves and throws also make fabulous gifts.

Honey fundraiser promotion

SCOOP is currently running a promotion to increase sales of our delicious fundraiser honey. For every five pottles you order before the end of August, you’ll go into the draw for two movie tickets from the Screening Room along with a $20 voucher to spend at the cinema.

The honey is $10 for a 500g pottle with profits from sales going towards upgrading the college’s fitness centre. You can order the honey by downloading and returning the form below or by picking up an order form at the college office.
