Infomation for Internet Explorer users

The Solway College website uses specific scripting (Javascript and ActiveX controls) to make infomation as convenient as possible to access.

If you are using Internet Explorer 6.0 or later to view this site, you may receive warning messages at the top of some pages. You can remove these by adding Solway College as a Trusted site in your settings.

You can do this right now without leaving the site:

  • click on the 'Tools' option on the menu bar above and selecting 'Internet Options'
  • in the pop up window, select the 'Trusted Sites' icon (large green tick)
  • click on the 'sites' button that appears
  • click the 'add' button where you are prompted to add Solway College to your trusted site list

More detailed instructions below.

1. Click Tools, Internet Options

2. Click on the Security tab

3. Click on the Trusted Site image (green tick) and then click the 'sites' button

4. Click on the 'add' button. The Solway College URL should already be in the bar. If not, type it in as below.

5. Click 'close' to finish. You will now be able to enjoy all content on the Solway College website without Internet Explorer messages.
