Are you planning an event or need accommodation for a group?

Solway College has excellent facilities that we are proud to hire out to groups who would like to make use of them.  In our beautiful grounds we have hostels, hall, dining room, swimming pool, tennis courts and St Colomba church, as well as classroom facilities.  All facilities can be hired, particularly during school holiday breaks.  

Masterton is an easy road or rail trip from Wellington, approximately 90 minutes away.  The Solway railway station is literally at our back door.

Facilities

There is an excellent hall with staging and a good quality sound system.   Seating for up to 300 people.
Our dining room seats up to 200 people and the onsite catering team can cater to all types of occasions.  
St Colomba church is a beautiful little church which can be used for weddings, baptisms, etc on request.  
The extensive grounds provide plenty of space and activities.
The classrooms can be used for conferences or gatherings where work spaces might be needed.

Accommodation

Our hostels provide a variety of styles of accommodaton from individual rooms to dormitory rooms sleeping up to six people.  Solway College has room for 95 people in the boarding houses during the school holidays.

The hostel option is a great one for sporting teams, groups in town for conferences or activities or just a big family group.  The prices are very competitive and allow everyone to stay on one site.
